VOCABULARY


CONTINENT (NOUN)
DEFINITION:
One of the seven main areas of land on the Earth.
EXAMPLE:
-  We’re are going to spend a weekend on the Continent.

HOVER (VERB)
DEFINITION:
To wait near somebody/something.
EXAMPLE:
-      He hovered nervously outside the office.

GESTICULATE (VERB)
DEFINITION:
To make movement with your hands and arms in order to express something.
EXAMPLE:
-  He gesticulate his hand for asking a help.

TACIT (ADJECTIVE)
DEFINITION:
Understood but not actually said.
EXAMPLE:
-      The FBI understand the messages tacitly by gesticulating their hands.

BEMUSED (ADJECTIVE)
DEFINITION:
Confused and unable to think clearly.
EXAMPLE:
-      He was bemused by the questions that were asked by his teacher after waking up in that class.
