VOCABULARY

Artistry (noun)
Definition:
great skill in creating or performing something, such as in writing, music, sport, etc..
Example:
You have to admire the artistry of her novels.

Folly (noun)
Definition:
(STUPIDITY) the fact of being stupid, or a stupid action, idea, etc..
Example:
She said that the idea was folly.

Intricate (adjective)
Definition:
having a lot of small parts or details that are arranged in a complicated way and are therefore sometimes difficult to understand, solve, or produce.
Example:
The watch mechanism is extremely intricate and very difficult to repair.

Ostentatious (adjective)
Definition:
too obviously showing your money, possessions, or power, in an attempt to make other people notice and admire you.
Example:
They criticized the ostentatious lifestyle of their leaders.

Candid (adjective)
Definition:
honest and telling the truth, especially about something difficult or painful.
Example:
The two presidents have had candid talks about the current crisis.
