VOCABULARY

Succumb (verb)
Definition:
a.to lose the determination to oppose something; to accept defeat.
Example:
The town finally succumbed last week after being pounded with heavy artillery for more than two months.

Definition:
b.to die or suffer badly from an illness.
Example:
Thousands of cows have succumbed to the disease in the past few months.

Imponderable (noun)
Definition:
something that cannot be guessed or calculated because it is completely unknown.
Example:

Bygone (adjective)
Definition:
belonging to or happening in a past time.
Example:
A bygone era.

Innate (adjective)
Definition:
An innate quality or ability is one that you were born with, not one you have learned.
Example:
Cyril's most impressive quality was his innate goodness.

Palpable (adjective)
Definition:
so obvious that it can easily be seen or known, or (of a feeling) so strong that it seems as if it can be touched or physically felt.
Example:
Her joy was palpable.
